Amusement park attraction? No, Ice Cream…
On my way back from the University today I stopped by Frederiksberg Centre to pick up something for dinner. As I walk in I see a queue stretching around half of the lower floor of the shopping centre, looping inside each other in a scene not unreminiscent of something like Peter Pan at Walt Disney World, Orlando.
So curiosity got the better of me, and I wonder what’s going on. Last time I saw this kind of set up was because some reality show was holding auditions there. This time? People were buying ice cream. From two people in cow costumes at Ben and Jerry’s. Now, yes it was warm, and it may well be very nice ice cream, but in the time it took me to do my shopping (about 25 mins), the guy at the back of the queue had got about halfway to the front.
50mins for the right to buy ice cream? I guess this means it’s summer in Denmark.
