Unfortunately, we do have a family version of that around somewhere… hopefully condemned to a drawer in my parents house never to be seen again. I seem to think I was around 8/9, probably at Universal Studios in Florida, and was playing a Vulcan…
As Nick Adenhart left the mound Wednesday night at Angel Stadium with a 3-0 lead and 6 shutout innings under his belt, 43’000 stood to applaud. Little did those in attendance know they were witnessing his final moments. Hours later, he was dead — killed in a car accident. Yesterday’s Angels game was postponed by commissioner Bud Selig as a mark of respect. All signs pointed to Adenhart having a promising future near the top of the Angels rotation, a future that we will never get to see. Condolences go out to his friends, family and colleagues.
